Today we present the draft amendment to the landmark building located in Plaza of Spain, Madrid, formerly property of Public Administration, and a basement devoted to carbon storage.

Today, though abandoned, is a listed building, so that the proposal that we will show, have been complied with false ceilings and moldings.

This new project consists of a ground floor, for commercial use, and 3 upper levels over the jacket for an exclusives apartment of between 100 and 200m2, along the lines of A-zero.

The building has a total of 5,702 m2.

The firm has developed a standard floor plan for apartments, 6 for each level, with a wide distribution very functional to suit all needs. Read the rest of this entry »

The Wooden House in Chile

A house is made entirely of wood, it’s a beauty. This is exactly what is known as the home dock. One of the unique designs of architecture Chile.

The houses in this category have an impressive slope of 28 degrees. It’s specifically to counter and survive in the highly unstable climate of the region.

The Chapel of Juan Pablo II

The church of Our Lady of Trsat is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Croatia. According to legend, angels Nazareth transferred the Tabernacle of the Holy Family of Trsat on May 10, 1291, until 1294 when the angels took him to Loreto, Italy.

The first church was built in the late thirteenth century, and then in the fifteenth century was built a new church and the Franciscan monastery. It has been expanded and renovated several times since then.

The idea of adding a new building complex is related to the visit of Pope John Paul II to Rijeka. In early June 2003, the Pope visited Croatia for the third time. Being the second pope to visit Croatia (after Alexander III that ran aground on the coast in the twelfth century), his visit was of great importance.

During his stay in Rijeka Trsat visited the church to pray, and on occasion blessed the construction of a new building to house pilgrims and cultural activities of the monastery.

The new building is located on the east wall, where buildings prior located to services. With this new building, created a new access for pilgrims, and to accommodate this new influx of people the whole wall was placed further back to create a new public footpath outside. Home of the Masters of Chocolate

Minale Design Strategy set the name of the store. “The idea was to build a flagship store and personalize it to identify those responsible and teachers in making chocolate in the country. The House is an element of the federation, a brand in its own right. No one wanted to create a store, but rather a mosaic of different artisans and their products. In the House of the Masters of Chocolate, each individual mark was displayed by its specific qualities in a homogeneous environment “.

The House was chosen by her family warmth. With a purely Belgian (100% of Belgium) the project is expressed through codes taken from the world of chocolate (100% cocoa). In terms of typography, is a mixture, which reconciles the values of craftsmanship and tradition, on a blue background that adds a bright and contemporary.

Orthogonal feeling the walls of the store and its displays, offer a well-defined range of artisans. Each has a dedicated space for the portrait, career, place of birth and personal budget. On the ground, carved lines connecting the lowest points of the walls to the straight edges of the central units that seem to push up from the ground. They also have a dash of chocolate color, equipped with a glass plate backlit to highlight the products of the House of the Masters of Chocolate. Becoming a display area according to the events of the year. Visitors can obtain samples of chocolates and more than ten varieties of hot chocolate at the hotel.

The architecture studio A-cero, directed by Joaquin Torres launches modular product architecture, based on the principles of industrialized construction.
