It is undeniable that Town Hal Hilversum is one of the masterpieces of Willem Marinus Dudok. The building that was outlined in 1924 shows the identity of Dudok as anti-Avant guard artist. Built in a quite large area and applied brick, this building and all areas around become popularly as Hilversum city garden.

According to some critics, Town Hall Hilversum provides a great experience, especially because of the combination of big elements and hollow spaces that come together in a good blended harmony. At the same time, the building offers romantic and highly personal monument. Town Hall Hilversum also becomes one of just few buildings built during on that period that can provide and has symbolic contents. Some people also said that Town Hall Hilversum really shows fact that human loves beauty through sense and harmony. This building shows something more than material but also many things through spiritual sense.

As one of the landmarks in Hilversum, Netherland, Town Hall has admitted by many architecture analysts as one of the best building in the world. Some even said that it gives a monumental accent through its small area. Up to today, Town Hall Hilversum is still famous and known as one of the greatest masterpieces from Willem Marinus Dudok.

There are many buildings in this world that are famous on its architecture. With the great designs and construction of the exterior and the interior of the buildings, all of the building becomes really phenomenal and famous. Boston city hall is one of the famous buildings because of this building shape and design. It is not only famous because of its function that is as the center of the government or the hall of the city but also it is famous ion its building architecture that is interesting.

Knowles, Kallmann, and McKinnell as the architect of this buildings work so hard for this building. It uses the precast concrete for the system of the construction for this city hall building. The Brutalist Modern style is chosen as the building style for this city hall. The architects use the great dentil on the monumentally as the accent and shade device. It is so amazing.

The public part of this place is actually in the ground with the opened area that is linked to the interior and the plaza. It gives the great atmosphere for the public place. The great design that is well organized represents this building as the city hall building.

We can see the national pensions building in Finland that is quite famous. It is one of the phenomenal architectural building that can be the great reference for the people who like architectures. This building takes place in Helsinki, Finland. With the great design from the architect Alvar Aalto, it becomes the well – known building. By choosing the style of the modern, it becomes the new style with the unique design for this government building.

The system of construction for this building is using brick cladding that is really unique. By choosing the modern style, Aalto still uses the brick that is used as the cladding that can give the unique shade and shape. It becomes the beautiful details for the building. He also chooses the trim of the bronze metal for the details.

All of the details that are chosen make this building becomes really unique. By the combination of the modern style and the natural materials, it becomes really unique. It also uses the round ceramic that can give the beautiful touch of the building.

To say that a building is integrated into the landscape is a resource that many publishers abuse to praise a project when in reality we all know that is like talking of cement and margaritas. This time the topic is true, because this housing Longhi Architects is carved in a hill of Pachacamac, 40km south of Lima (Peru), blending with their surroundings.

It is a work of architectural camouflage, but rather of symbiosis between land and human activities, both routine and intellectual. On an area of 5000m2 built area occupies approximately 480m2, which are organized in different “front” as the hillside.

Raised as a retirement home for a philosopher, it was all projected on an “invented ancient language”, there is symmetry and almost all their holes are distributed in a disorderly manner, but without breaking the overall harmony of the work.

A large area glass cube on its end is the only piece of “naked” all the house, the rest is always behind the walls that form its walls of stone, or simply buried.

It’s powerful texture of the masonry walls, which sometimes serve to hold the land and others to form the front, sometimes alternating with concrete walls, but always giving the building a character of ancient and modern settlement in their language.

The interior is even more unpredictable because the surprising property in each of his travels, with a total degree of customization, standard with no gaps, presenting solutions for each entry and volumes of concrete to form part of the furniture of the house, as the case of hormgión dining table (also see floor plan).

The originality and freedom with which it has designed this project are typical of the virtual architecture and even setting up for some games. In fact anyone who has spent hours in front of the monitor through the scenes of Tomb Raider will know what I mean because the atmosphere is found in every part of it is there where you are carrying.

Of such a project could not miss each of its plants and a longitudinal section, to be better appreciating the geometry of many of its elements.

Books are one of the threads of humanity. Contributors to transmit knowledge from generation to generation, from them, build a new wisdom.

Have help to shared. The feelings of the human being, created wars, strains, affection and hatred found. Through them, you can baste the recent history from a thousand different perspectives, to plunge into the chaos of confusion.

Alicia Martín (Madrid, 1964) based his artwork on the books. Not as a writer, but as raw material for their works. Cascades of thousands of books coming out of a window and rushed into the street. Books that seem to emerge from the doldrums in the soil wall, two steady hands to break a book in two …

Using the book as a leitmotif in his work, Alicia Martin wants to highlight the informative role of the written work, but information overload in society today.

There has been limited to the sculpture, but has traveled the plastic medium from the video or photography to printmaking. His works include among others. The series of sculptures “Contemporary” “Biography,” a facility located in an old mill by the Roman bridge in Cordoba, or “Polyglot”, a video version of the labyrinth of the Minotaur computer-animated 3D, where the books dealing with the roles of Theseus, Ariadne and the Minotaur himself, lost in the maze of the Tower of Babel today.

Gaudi architecture, in a first time, is influenced Neo-Mudejar and eastern neomedieval even later introduced elements, but resulted in modernism, creating a personal style which emphasized their innate sense of geometry and volume. He created a new architecture based on curved lines and geometric shapes as the hyperbolic paraboloid, the form taken by the tendons between the fingers of one hand and Gaudí him into the vaults of the crypt of the Colonia Güell. The hyperboloid, the shape of the femur, used in the columns of the Sagrada Familia, or helix, the shape of the trunk of the eucalyptus used in Teresian College twisted columns.

Another key element in his work is the catenary curve, used at that time only in the construction of suspension bridges. Gaudí was first used as a common architecture. This element could be seen in the Crypt of Colonia Güell or the Holy Family and one of its main characteristics is its great strength.

Perfectly combined geometry and mathematical calculations with intuitive and elementary methods applied to architecture, so that getting get balanced forms very similar to those of nature.

Was always looking for new structural solutions, which was achieved throughout his life by careful analysis of the optimal structure of the building integrated into its surroundings. Thanks to this study, their work results in an organic style, inspired by nature, but without wasting the experience already gained from other styles, resulting in an architectural work as a perfect symbiosis between tradition and innovation.

Another distinctive feature of the Gaudi architecture. The color is use in all works. The color is a sign of life, and therefore always looking for more intense colors, bright and shiny, to give their own life work.

The buildings designed in a holistic manner that combined both structural solutions such as functional and decorative solutions. Integrated perfectly crafts dominating such as ceramics, glassware and wrought iron, creating a whole.

Today we travel to Andalusia to show you the architecture of Antonio Jiménez Torrecillas, a professional outside the media publicity with a strong production, minimalist, conceptual and extremely attached to his hometown of Granada.

Jiménez Torrecillas (1962) is passionate about their land and their customs: “I live in the world, but every night I sleep in Granada,” he said.

Project works as a professor in the School of Architecture of Granada, but travels frequently at universities around the world provided a visiting lecturer.

Since his first built work, the Centro José Guerrero (Granada, 1991-2000), this discreet design and shows us her exceptional ability to keep the leitmotiv of every project from start to finish. This first work, awarded to the Best Intervention in Historical, reveals his mastery of Andalusia in the best way to rehabilitate an old building located in the center of a city with much history as is Granada. This work demonstrates the ability to recognize Jiménez Torrecillas always the historical value of their interventions and interpreting these values in a respectful and contemporary.

Proof of this is also its exemplary action in the High Albaicín Nazari wall (Granada, 2002), winner of numerous national and international awards. In this project the Granada wisely used natural stone and enhances their chances with a series of porous walls that allow light to pass through smoothly. As can be seen in the images in this article the author returns delicately tracing and volume of the wall and a reconstruction that moves away from historical mimicry with subtlety and humility.

With the restoration of the “Tower of Homage in Huesca” (Granada, 2008), the architect also manages to combine past and present in a perfect combination. This work was the retrieval of an ancient tower formerly used as military observation point. To do this, Torres set up its intervention on the remains of the building with the aim of transforming the old building in a new location from which to watch the fabulous views from the town of Granada. Thus, the author recovers the previous function of the tower, but gives new conditions that convert the building into a public urban piece and interesting to visit.

Torres Jimenez’s creations also expressed their longevity and successful aging, since it does not deform over the years. In fact, the discretion of their interventions are usually evergreen materials that nature is often part of the constructions of the architect.

But the history of Granada is beyond rehabilitation and interventions in historic building. Jiménez Torrecillas is a complete and versatile professional with projects as varied as the original showroom for the fashion minimalist Dal Bat or “House Escudero” in Benidorm that we show below.

Architecture of sculptural beauty, quiet and conceptual based on the order and clarity.

The architecture studio A-cero, directed by Joaquin Torres launches modular product architecture, based on the principles of industrialized construction. It applied to the construction the same procedures for standardization, modularity, technology, quality control and time that apply to many other fields of human activity, most obvious example being the production of cars, with more than one hundred years the approaches of Production Lines Henry Ford.

The advantages of it, with production workshop and assembly on site, shorter and more specialized labor, increase results in quality and price of the final product comparable to , while demanding greater control initial phases of design, since everything must be designed and controlled in advance, with no room for improvisation.

In this bid for Industrialized Construction, initially developed two models of housing with two and three bedrooms with a cost and final price too tight, making for it a careful study of the distribution and living spaces.

As proof of this, and are starting the construction of two pilot houses the simultaneous study of several projects.

A-cero also offer the possibility of having these homes completely furnished and equipped like a ship would be received.

As an example, have a home of 82 m2 for € 69,000, rising to € 85,000 for fully furnished option, allowing the funding of such amounts by mortgage loan just as for a traditionally built home.

As indicated by Joaquín Torres himself, this system is not unique to residential construction, but the same system could be applied subsequently to other building types such as schools, offices and residences of students and the elderly.

With this challenge A-zero bid to popularize the design and construction quality in architecture, in seeking to architectural design is not relegated to a cultural and economic elite.
