Zenith Music Hall

For its playful form and character, the Zenith music room contributes a large variety theater that created since the building built Zenith in Paris in 1984. The new Zenith building is an important project for the exhibition area in Strasbourg. This will be the new attraction that will give new impetus to the further development of city infrastructure.

The design concept based on a modular and well-balanced organization of the different elements: good views for all spectators, the best acoustics and an optimized cost management and addressed during the design phase of the design. The Zenith hall offers the ideal setting for guests and artists, performers. The building is to be understood as a unique sculpture, unified and independent. The amount of layers and the rotation of the ellipsoid metal structure of the facade, the design receive a very dynamic character. This confirmed by the translucent textile membrane, which covers the steel frame and creates magnificent light effects. These orange membranes also cover the volume of the music hall itself. Project Challenge
The starting point for the renovation was a modest Victorian house in very poor condition, with rooms with small windows and dark interior spaces were separated from each other, as was typical of houses built in the era where privacy was a cultural priority. In another gesture to the Victorian public decoration, arrangements of existing interior spaces reinforce the ancient ideal of work and family life should be separate.

Although the client requested to renovate the space do the work in the house, while maintaining a clear separation from his family life was also important to create a modern and bright space that seemed small in size and continues to be spacious and connected visually. The South Africa World Cup 2010: Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium

The Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, located in Port Elizabeth is the third stadium designed by gmp Architekten for the football World Cup. The host eight matches, including the match for third and fourth place. Designed as football and rugby stadium, the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium is located next to North End Lake.

The stadium is located in the suburbs and has become a landmark building, growing in the lake with a shape biomimetics. The silhouette of the stadium shows the clean design of its structure. This hall with columns contains the whole stadium. Read the rest of this entry »

The Basque Health Department Headquarters
