Designed by XTEN Architecture, this cliff house has been amazingly designed and built on the exclusive area Sunset Boulevard of Hollywood Hills, California. The site is narrow and sloping sharply, and then the house is built to be 4,499sqf or 418sqm with opened plan to the panoramic view of the landscape and city view under the hills. The architects designed the first floor as the living area by maintaining the walls extended to the hillside as well as creating gardens on a couple levels of the house. The two levels are connected well to the gardens with the glass panels in the front, rear and side.

To design the house well openly to the beautiful view outside, wall panels are applied in various versions. About 44 sliding glass walls in 7 feet of width and 10 feet of height are applied; making the concrete house looks floating and allowing amazing view visible from the inside while simply connecting to the terraces and gardens outside through the glass doors.

Nice balance is given to the glass panels with sculptural and solid elements made of dark stained oak, stones, tinted concrete and also plaster. The connecting of indoor and outdoor is also designed by applying the same pebble flooring on the whole house, terraces, and also decks. Meanwhile, the finishing is done in various and multiplicity ways that continue the open plan of the house.
